This hiking surprise proposal included two firsts for me. One being that I was hired by McKenzie who was planning on proposing to her boyfriend which was an exciting change from societal norms. The second was that Kody was planning to propose to McKenzie on the hike as well! The only people who were aware of this were McKenzie's mom and sister who were hiking along with them.

After McKenzie dropped to one knee in front of a raging Virginia Falls, and Kody said yes, Mckenzie's mom brought over an Uno "Reverse" card for Kody to hand over as he dropped to one knee and proposed to McKenzie. After a lot of laughs and smiling, some portraits on the hike back down, they decided to cool off by taking a dip in front of St. Mary Falls.
