Studio Portrait Actor Headshots, Tanner Harmon

It was a pleasure working with one of my favorite young Alpine Theatre Project actors. Tanner has moved on to college studies, but over several years I was able to witness his outstanding comedic acting chops and what I can only describe as 110% effort in all of his performances. Any time he popped up in a cast you could know you were going to be treated to effortless comedic timing and a very physical performance. Can't wait to see what's next for this young man.

Studio Portrait Headshot Photographer, Neva S.

Another young actor I've had the privilege of photographing on stage a half dozen times or more, Neva has been in many, many Alpine Theatre Project productions—often in the same cast as my daughter—and was looking for some updated studio headshot portraits. Here are the results!

Studio-Style Portrait Headshots, The Walrath Twins

I've known Gabriel and Elijah for over six years now. My first encounter with them was as a volunteer reader for my daughter's first-grade class which they happened to be in. From there our paths have crossed dozens of times as their parents founded Alpine Theatre Project which I've had the pleasure of working with for over three years both as a volunteer and as a theatre parent and they've been a part of some Whitefish Theatre Company productions as well.

They're aspiring stage, film, and television actors, so they needed some headshots for a conference they would be attending in the winter. Pretty happy with how these turned out.

Studio Portrait Style Headshots, the Pickerts

It's always fun to expand one's skill set and try things that are just a little bit outside the normal day-to-day work that I do. So it's been fun this summer to get out a backdrop and do more studio-style headshots portraits. To have a project where Montana's unpredictable weather is not a factor, and have complete control over the lighting being used is so refreshing.

It was also a blast to work with siblings Gabby and Cole, whom I've photographed on stage many times in various Alpine Theatre Project productions.

Studio Portrait Headshots for Tracy McDowell

I met Tracy through my work with Alpine Theatre Project here in Whitefish, having photographed her performing in multiple productions from the annual "Yuletide Affair," and tributes to big band era music, the queens of country music, and well, "Queen."

It was a pleasure to get to work with her on some updated headshots for her portfolio. Largely because she's just awesome to work with, but also because it gave me a chance to exercise some photo skills I don't necessarily use on a day-to-day basis. That being of a studio portrait setup. I broke out my backdrops, my studio flash setup, and we cleared some space at ATP's rehearsal space to make some magic. Hair and makeup were done by Sieh Beauty.

You can see her on stage next month in ATP's production of "Million Dollar Quartet."
