Mariah & Derek took full advantage of my flexible hours of coverage for their wedding day to make it follow exactly what they envisioned for themselves.

The day started at Haymoon Resort where their families and many guests were staying for the weekend and where the ceremony and reception would take place later that day. I arrived just as they were both finalizing getting dressed for a quick first look.

Once we nailed the sweetest first look with Derek seeing their kids and then Mariah, the families all loaded onto one of Wildhorse Limo's busses for a quick jaunt to Glacier for the family formal photos on the shore of Lake McDonald at Apgar Village.

Since it was roughly lunch time at this point, everyone headed back to Haymoon for lunch and a rest except for myself, Mariah, Derek, Mariah's brother acting as videographer, and one of their close friends acting as chauffeur. We headed up Going-to-the-Sun Rd for some epic couples portraits in a few different spots.

Since they would be doing a shot of whiskey during their ceremony later on I couldn't help but tell them about Glacier Distilling's Trapline Rock & Rye which is my absolute favorite. I was a little worried about overselling it but they were intrigued enough to stop at the tasting room on our way back from Glacier. They did a flight of different types of Whiskeys and lo-and-behold opted to get a bottle to use during their ceremony.

Once back at Haymoon Resort we got ready for the ceremony and reception to close out the evening and our time together.
