Shoutout to Sydney for such diligent work as she began planning her and James' wedding. The important part was out of the way—that is being deeply and madly in love with each other—but the tricky part of choosing a wedding date around boot camps and deployment for James was still to be ironed out.

The good news is of course it all happened this Spring as evidenced by these photos. A backyard wedding became a lovely church ceremony and service at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kalipsell. There were lots of DIY elements to their day to make it as special to them as possible, including a private meal for the new husband and wife, late-night UNO to continue their Sunday evening game night with friends, and a 'potluck' style dessert.

It's always such an honor to be a part of these intimate weddings with the couple's closet friends and family.
